Attorney Jillmarie Gendreau

Attorney Jillmarie Gendreau is an Associate with the firm and focuses her practice on family law. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since April 2019 and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts.  


Jillmarie grew up in Punta Gorda. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 2013, where she double majored in Social Work and Family and Child Sciences. While in undergrad, Jillmarie completed an internship with Mental Health Court and Drug Court in Sarasota County, which sparked her interest in the legal system. Jillmarie went on to obtain her master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in 2014. She subsequently obtained her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in May 2018.


While at Stetson, Jillmarie served as the President of the Family Law Society, Vice President of the Child Advocates of Stetson Law, and as the Mental Health Co-Chair for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division. She completed externships with the Honorable Jack Helinger in the Sixth Circuit and with a prominent adoption law firm in Tampa. Jillmarie’s experience also includes serving as a law clerk for a family law firm in St. Petersburg, as well as for the Office of the Florida Attorney General with the Child Support Enforcement Division. Jillmarie began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa in the Mental Health Division, specializing in Mental Health Court, Veteran’s Treatment Court and Baker Acts.


Jillmarie now brings her experiences to the McCrory Law Firm to help guide her client’s though challenging family matters. Her practice includes all types of family law matters, including divorce, alimony, timesharing, paternity, and post-judgment modifications. In addition, she also drafts and litigates prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.


Jillmarie resides in Punta Gorda with her husband and son. Jillmarie is thrilled to relocate back to Charlotte County and serve the community her and her husband grew up in.
